What are QR codes?
A QR code (Quick Response) is a two-dimensional barcode that can store various information: links to websites, contact details, text messages, location coordinates, and much more.
QR codes were first created in 1994 by the Japanese company Denso Wave. Unlike traditional one-dimensional barcodes, QR codes use a two-dimensional matrix to encode data, allowing storage of up to several thousand characters in a single code.
Thanks to the built-in error correction system (ECC), a QR code can be successfully read even if up to 30% of its surface is damaged or covered. Modern smartphones have built-in QR code scanners in the camera app, making their use simple and convenient.
